e2v employees raise £6000
November has seen the sprouting of strange and mysterious facial hair on employees at e2v.
Over 30 brave souls took up the ‘Movember’ challenge, an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer.
Each grew a moustache, from the pencil thin to a full handlebar, all in the name of charity.
At the end of the month a party was held at e2v’s whoosh! learning centre, with many taking the opportunity to go for a full make over to match their moustache, and with the winners receiving shaving kits.
Suzanne Tokley, from e2v’s charity committee, led the campaign, even sporting her own pencilled on moustache to add encouragement. After the awards event she commented “It’s been great and a real company effort, there were 30 people growing moustaches, but there were a few hundred more sponsoring and encouraging them all the way”.
