e2v Apprentice Awards Evening 2009

e2v’s annual Apprentice Awards Evening was held at the Shire Hall, Chelmsford.

The event was well attended by apprentices, their families, course tutors and a number of e2v managers, amongst them some former apprentices. This included Business Unit Manager Graham Gooday who spoke about his experiences since joining e2v as an apprentice is 1986.

The most prestigious award of the evening – the “Apprentice of the Year” award – went to third-year apprentice Chris Hill, pictured here with Apprentice Manager, Bob Randall. “Chris has worked very hard throughout the year, achieved excellent results both at college and work, and fully deserves this recognition,” said Bob, adding “we cannot underestimate the value of apprentices to companies like e2v. We can bring through highly motivated young people with knowledge and experience relevant to our specialised business”.

Awards were also presented to those apprentices who have this year completed their Foundation Modern Apprenticeships and Full Framework Advanced Modern Apprenticeships.
